Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) has set out to make credit card applications and management seamless and convenient for its customers.

The move is timely as this particular cashless payment method showed a 500% increase in 2020 during the pandemic.

BRI’s customers can now open new accounts digitally and this is not only limited to digital savings accounts but also for credit card applications.

This is thanks to its data-based BRI Credit Card mobile app where customers can easily manage their cards.

The app features the customers’ card usage information, transaction statements, historical billing statements and other information related to their cards.

Additionally, the bank is offering several avenues for customers to apply for its credit card namely its website as well as through financial comparison site CekAja.com

At CekAja.com, customers can directly apply for a new credit card and the process takes less than 5 minutes.

Additionally, BRI added that is planning to form several collaborations to create an extensive digital ecosystem for BRI’s Credit Cards.

Part of this effort includes the collaboration that BRI and VISA had formed with Traveloka, an online airline ticketing and hotel booking services provider, to launch a virtual Pay Later Card in 2019.

This collaboration was a part of BRI’s efforts to meet its customers’ needs in the current digital world.

The Traveloka Paylater Card has features such as a straightforward card application, status monitoring on new card applications, new card activation, and card deactivation.

The credit limit for this card is up to IDR 50 million with installment options from 1 to 12 months.

The Pay Later Card holders can review their transaction history in real time.

BRI said that its credit card holders will also receive many incentives such as discounted prices and reward points if they conduct transactions on the Traveloka platform.
