Description
As a Backend Engineer, you are expected to be a strong and self-motivated individual with the ability to independently drive decisions, and execute and deliver medium-complex projects end-to-end without the involvement of other supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems that handle payment processing, checkout experiences, and transaction management, etc.
- Work with the data engineer team to propose, design and implement a data platform that will serve as a unified single source of truth for business intelligence and analytics
- Provide optimal technical solutions to ensure high-quality integration with 3rd parties
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer Science, or equivalent
- Deep knowledge of OOP, data structure, and algorithm
- At least 3 years of experience working with Java and Spring framework, preferably in banking, financial services or similar industries
- Experienced in designing relational database schemas in Oracle, SQL server, or PostgreSql
- Experience working with cloud services such as GCP, AWS or Azure
- Familiar with microservice architecture and all its implications: Rest APIs, Message Queues, SQL, NoSQL, service performance, data consistency, caching, etc
- An interest and preferably working experience in an Agile software development environment
