Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business and Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a basic understanding of financial concepts, and the ability to work with large complex financial data. The Business and Data Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements, analyse data, and provide valuable insights to support strategic financial decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their goals, requirements, and challenges.
- Collect, clean, and analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights of company’s portfolio and performance statistics.
- Develop and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical techniques to extract relevant information from large data sets.
- Perform financial modelling and forecasting using historical data and industry trends to support budgeting and financial planning activities.
- Develop and maintain data models, reports, and metrics to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Create data visualizations, reports, and dashboards to effectively communicate findings and recommendations; periodically and ad-hoc basis.
- Perform data validation and quality assurance to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data.
- Conduct profitability analysis and cost-benefit analysis to identify factors affecting business performance and propose solutions for improvement and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, operations, and business development, to gather requirements and align data analysis with business objectives.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis and business intelligence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience of at least 1 year, as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and interpret large sets of data.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, Python, R, or similar programming languages. Experience with SQL is required.
- Familiarity with databases and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and data modelling concepts.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
