Looking for a dynamic and results-driven E-commerce Product Manager to serve as the critical bridge between business ambitions and technology execution. You are a translator, a diplomat, and a strategist. You live and breathe the customer experience, speak the language of business KPIs, and understand the technical complexities of building a world-class e-commerce platform. Your primary goal is to ensure what we build directly drives the results the business needs.
Business-Facing Responsibilities:
- Collaborate & Strategize: Partner directly with senior stakeholders in Marketing, Commercial, Catalog, and Operations to understand high-level business goals, revenue targets, and market opportunities.
- Define "Why": Champion the business case for new features, grounding all requests in data, user research, and expected ROI (e.g., "This will increase conversion rate by X%" or "This will reduce cart abandonment by Y%").
- Manage Expectations: Serve as the primary point of contact for all business-side product inquiries. Clearly communicate the product roadmap, development timelines, and any potential tradeoffs or roadblocks.
Technology-Facing Responsibilities:
- Translate & Specify: Convert high-level business needs into clear, detailed, and actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications for the engineering team.
- Prioritize Ruthlessly: Own and manage the product backlog. Work with the development lead to prioritize tasks based on business impact, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment.
- Execute & Unblock: Act as the "voice of the business" during sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Answer technical questions, clarify requirements, and make quick, informed decisions to keep the development process moving.
- Own Quality: Work with QA to define test cases and ensure that the final product is bug-free, functional, and, most importantly, actually solves the original business problem.
Bridge-Building Responsibilities:
- Foster Alignment: Lead cross-functional meetings that bring business and tech teams together to ensure everyone is aligned on the "what," the "why," and the "how."
- Communicate & Demo: Proactively communicate product updates and demo new functionality to all stakeholders, gathering feedback and managing the iteration loop.
- Analyze & Iterate: Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Jasper, etc.) to monitor product KPIs post-launch. Report on performance to the business and identify the next set of data-driven optimizations for the tech team.
- 3-5+ years of experience in product management, specifically within an e-commerce or B2C digital environment.
- Proven ability as a "translator." You must have experience taking vague business goals (e.g., "we need to sell more") and turning them into specific technical requirements (e.g., "create a 'related products' API for the cart page").
- Strong Technical Literacy: You do not need to be a developer, but you must be comfortable discussing APIs, data models, system architecture, and technical debt with engineers.
- Expertise in Agile/Scrum: Deep experience in managing a backlog, writing user stories, and working in sprints.
- Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to use data (A/B tests, user analytics) to make decisions and measure success.
- Exceptional Communication: World-class written and verbal communication skills. You are empathetic, persuasive, and comfortable presenting to everyone from a junior engineer to a C-level executive.
- Stakeholder Management: A "no-ego" attitude focused on building consensus and managing competing priorities from different business units.
