Description

The Singapore Fintech Director role will be responsible for the identification of fintech export opportunities in Singapore and across Southeast Asia (SEA), and to connect these with Australian fintech companies. In addition, it will focus on promotion, attraction and facilitation of foreign direct investment opportunities between SEA-based companies and Australia.

Responsibilities
  • Providing Austrade trade services to Australian fintech exporters, including technical and strategic advice in relation to scoping, entering and expanding with the Singapore and SEA financial services markets.
  • Promote Australia’s innovation capabilities to Singapore and SEA markets, which requires understanding Australian capabilities and matching them with market opportunities across the region.
  • Plan, coordinate and implement physical and virtual events, market visits and delegations to and from Australia and where appropriate, in collaboration with State/Territory Governments, industry associations and allies in Australia.
  • Develop new and manage existing relationships with relevant customers, investors, service providers and other government agencies.
  • Represent Austrade with a range of stakeholders by delivering compelling presentations at business events and in CEO-level meetings to promote the advantages of Australia as a location for investment and as a trade partner.
  • Develop, maintain and support extensive senior business, industry networks and external and internal stakeholders.
  • Planning and delivering activities proactively, working under minimal supervision and direction.
  • Collaborate with members of Austrade’s Singapore office and members of the Austrade regional network.

Qualifications

To be eligible for consideration and appointment you must have:
• Work Authorisation - to be eligible for employment with Austrade in the Singapore, candidates must be legally authorised to live and work in the Singapore at the time of appointment.
• Language - the successful candidate must be a highly motivated team member, fluent in written and spoken English.
• Security Clearance - the successful applicant must be willing to complete an Entry Level Screening Pack and be confirmed as a suitable person to access Government resources prior to commencement in the
role.
