Global Payment Summit Coming to Singapore; Last Chance to Nominate Your Startup for Florin Awards

The Global Payment Summit, organized by the Transactives, will take place in Singapore on August 28 and 29, 2017 at the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort and Spa. The two-day event aims to act as a platform where global expertise of successful payment developments and innovations share and exchange.

The Global Payment Summit will explore the latest innovations and hottest trends in the payment and transaction space, and cover topics such as real-time payments, remittances, cybersecurity, e-commerce, and blockchain technology.

Confirmed speakers include representatives from Bain & Company, Standard Chartered, Bluzelle, the World Bank, Omise, MyCash, the Singapore University of Social Science, among others.

As part of the summit, the Florin Asia Innovation Awards 2017 will recognize the region’s most promising talents, and “honor great initiatives and proven solutions in payments.”

The Florin Awards are seeking teams and startups that are using innovation to drive their payment solutions forward through collaboration, accessibility, personalization, design, communication or any way that may help drive successful outcomes for customers. Anyone can nominate a company for free. The deadline for entries is July 30.

Like every year, the Florin Awards 2017 will select 10 entries that showcase key innovative power for the Asia region. The grand winner will be announced and recognized at the Global Payment Summit.

Created in 2010, the Florin Awards aim to stimulate innovation in the transaction services industry by providing the nominees and the winners with substantial benefits to assist the promotion of their innovative products and solutions.

These benefits include the opportunity to showcase their solution to the conferene’s audience of industry experts, professionals, investors, policymakers, and the global fintech community, and get featured in international and regional media partners of the Global Payment Summit.

Last year, the winners of the Florin Awards 2016 were global online money transfer service MtradeAsia, remittance startup OKLink, ride-hailing startup Grab, and merchant risk intelligence provider G2 Web Services.
