Krungsri (Bank of Ayudhya PCL) is enhancing its support for Thai businesses expanding into ASEAN through a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MUFG and three partner banks: Bank Danamon in Indonesia, VietinBank in Vietnam, and Security Bank in the Philippines.
The agreement aims to streamline business growth by offering coordinated assistance for Thai companies entering new regional markets.
The MoU was signed during the Krungsri ASEAN LINK Forum, an event designed to provide insights into regional business opportunities.
The forum showcased Krungsri’s expertise in cross-border advisory services, highlighting the bank’s role in helping businesses expand, with a particular focus on Vietnam as an emerging market.
Since its official launch in 2023, Krungsri ASEAN LINK has successfully addressed over 500 cases, offering a wide range of support from providing data and market insights to assisting with business development, company or office setup, and joint ventures.
The collaboration model will serve as a blueprint for partner banks, with ASEAN LINK desks working together in various countries to support business expansion. Krungsri expects the number of cases handled to double next year.
Kenichi Yamato, Krungsri’s President and CEO, emphasized the economic potential in ASEAN, stating,
“ASEAN offers vast economic and investment prospects, brimming with potential and sustained growth.
Krungsri aims to seize this moment by sharing our values and leveraging over ten years of experience and expertise to help clients expand internationally.”
He also highlighted that the key to Krungsri ASEAN LINK is connectivity—bringing together the most robust business networks of Krungsri, MUFG, and our partner banks to create an ecosystem that supports and promotes everyone’s business.
