Global technology and innovation partner Zühlke took part in the Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF) 2024, demonstrating its commitment to driving impactful change in the financial technology landscape.
Zühlke offered forward-thinking perspectives on the adoption of AI and digital money in reshaping the future of finance.
As a Knowledge Partner of Insights Forum, the invitation-only event organised by the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN), Zühlke contributed through expert insights and actionable knowledge on key issues.
This includes the responsible development and use of Generative AI (Gen AI) and new forms of digital money impacting the broad ecosystem across the financial services industry.
Held under Chatham House rules designed to facilitate actionable outcomes through meaningful dialogue, Insights Forum convenes over 3,000 global regulators, policymakers and industry leaders for outcome-focused leadership dialogues and exclusive networking.
Generative AI is moving from operational gains to strategic revenue creation, with financial institutions realising its impact across the entire value chain.
At an Insights Forum workshop, Zühlke engaged financial leaders on how to harness AI’s potential for both operational efficiency and revenue generation.
Featuring a live discussion featuring leaders from Amazon Web Services (AWS), EFG and Nomura, the session provided a roadmap for financial institutions to capitalise on AI’s benefits while ensuring regulatory compliance.
In an Insights Forum roundtable discussion led by Zühlke’s Chief of Blockchain, Stefan Grasmann, Zühlke highlighted the transformative roles of stablecoins, tokenised deposits, and both retail and wholesale CBDCs in shaping the digital money ecosystem.
The discussion format fostered open and in-depth public-private sector leadership dialogues and promoted diverse perspectives on the successful adoption of tokenised money.
“Tokenised money represents a pivotal shift in the way value is exchanged and managed in the digital era. Preparing for this transformation requires vision, collaboration, and early adaptation.
Through discussions at the Singapore Fintech Festival, we aim to help our clients and partners understand the impact of these innovations on business, operational and technological levels for their organisations, empowering them to thrive in the future of digital finance.”
said Stefan Grasmann, Chief of Blockchain at Zühlke.
At the SFF Technology Stage, Andrea Perl and Shaun Lai from Zühlke’s Data & AI team explored the challenges and best practices for scaling GenAI solutions.
They highlighted typical hurdles, such as ensuring data quality, managing model transparency, and addressing ethical considerations, while sharing strategies like leveraging robust data governance frameworks and iterative prototyping to overcome these barriers.
Attendees learnt about a client’s journey from prototyping to deploying full-scale solutions, with an emphasis on user-centric development by involving users early to ensure adoption.
“The Singapore Fintech Festival is the preeminent platform that brings together the industry’s leaders and brightest minds to shape the future of finance. At Zühlke, we’re committed to helping our clients harness engineering and innovation to transform for a rapidly evolving landscape — whether through AI, blockchain, or other emerging technologies.
This flagship event allows us to exchange insights and co-create solutions with global leaders from our clients that will drive sustainable growth, operational gains and new revenue streams,”
Zühlke’s APAC Head of Financial Services, Ravi Patel commented.
