Southeast Asian superapp Grab has appointed Alejandro Osorio as Managing Director of Grab Singapore and Ma Tuan Trong as Managing Director of Grab Vietnam, with both roles taking effect on 1 July 2025.
Alejandro, who currently leads Grab Vietnam, will take over the Singapore business from Yee Wee Tang.
Trong, presently Grab’s Country Commercial Head in Vietnam, will step into Alejandro’s former role. Both will report to Wee Tang.
Wee Tang will move into a regional position as Group Managing Director of Operations, where he will oversee operations across multiple countries including Singapore and Vietnam.
His responsibilities will also include platform safety and driver and merchant operations in the region.

“These appointments reflect Grab’s investment in talent development and its strong bench of leaders. Alejandro and Trong bring extensive experience and proven track records that will be instrumental in driving innovation and growth.
Alejandro’s expertise in leading diverse markets will introduce fresh strategies in Singapore, while Trong’s capabilities in scaling businesses will deepen our reach within Vietnamese communities,”
said Wee Tang.
The appointments are part of Grab’s internal succession strategy and reflect its focus on developing leadership talent.
Alejandro previously led Grab’s businesses in Thailand and Vietnam after starting out as Director of Regional Strategy and Planning.
In Singapore, he will focus on expanding initiatives such as GrabCab, integrating Chope’s services, and scaling financial offerings through GrabFin and GXS Bank.

“Singapore’s openness to new ideas and commitment to public-private collaboration have given Grab invaluable opportunities to co-create industry-first solutions that truly make a difference in people’s lives.
That spirit of innovation is what draws me back to Singapore once again. I’m excited to deepen our partnerships and learn from our users and partners to co-create meaningful and relevant solutions that meet the evolving needs of Singaporeans,”
said Alejandro.
Trong has been with Grab for nearly seven years and has played a key role in building the company’s food, grocery, and parcel delivery businesses in Vietnam.
He has also helped increase user and merchant engagement through cross-platform efforts between deliveries and ride-hailing.

“I am truly honoured and proud to be a Vietnamese serving the people of Vietnam and contributing to Grab’s growth journey in my home country.
Together with our passionate leadership team and Grabbers across Vietnam, we will continue to leverage our technology and scale to deliver even greater value to our consumers, driver-partners, merchant-partners, and the wider Vietnamese communities,”
said Trong.
