SCBX, the financial technology business group of Siam Commercial Bank, has appointed Dr. Arak Sutivong as its next CEO, effective 1 January 2027.
He will succeed current CEO Arthid Nanthawithaya, whose term concludes on 31 December 2026.

Dr. Arak is currently Deputy CEO of SCBX and also serves as CEO of SCB DataX.
He has held several leadership roles within the group, including President, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Strategy Officer of Siam Commercial Bank.
He was also the founding CEO of SCB 10X, the group’s venture capital arm, and later led InnovestX Securities.
With more than 15 years of experience across banking and technology, Dr. Arak has played a key role in shaping the group’s digital transformation and focus on data, AI, and innovation.
He also serves on the boards of national financial institutions including the Thai Bankers’ Association and ITMX.
This announcement comes on the heels of Bank of Thailand’s approval for a consortium comprising SCBX, WeTechnology, and KakaoBank to proceed with the establishment of a virtual bank.

Arthid Nanthawithaya, current CEO of SCBX, said,
“Over the next 18 months, Dr. Arak will work closely alongside me to ensure continuity in our mission and strategic direction.
He will actively participate in corporate planning and decision-making processes, contribute visionary ideas, and support the executive leadership across all entities within the group.”
