Sumsub has launched an AI agent integration that lets compliance teams turn AML policies into configured verification workflows.
The Model Context Protocol integration allows teams to upload anti-money laundering policies or regulatory requirements to AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT or other models.
The AI agent can then configure verification levels, risk questionnaires and onboarding workflows in Sumsub based on those documents.
According to Sumsub, the process can reduce setup time from days to minutes, including for complex policies with country-specific risk brackets, scoring tables and conditional rules.
The company said the integration is meant to reduce the manual work involved in translating compliance policies into platform settings.
AI agents can also help embed Sumsub’s verification process into customer applications.
Compliance teams can use the agents to review applicants, run analytics, generate verification links and respond to regulatory changes.

Andrew Novoselsky, Chief Product Officer at Sumsub, said,
“Our agentic experience changes that by connecting an AI agent directly to the configuration layer of the platform — a team can take their AML policy, hand it to an AI agent, and have their full environment built automatically.
That is a fundamentally different category of capability from what has been available in this space.”
The integration is model-agnostic and designed to work with leading AI agents. Sumsub has also published open-source agent skills on GitHub.
The MCP integration builds on Sumsub’s existing AI tools, including Summy, its AI Copilot for compliance and fraud teams.
Access is controlled through separate permissions, while sensitive actions run in an isolated sandbox. Configuration changes still require human review and approval.
The integration is available now. Sumsub added that it is the first verification platform to be officially listed on the ChatGPT Apps platform.
Documentation and agent skills are available through Sumsub’s developer resources.
