EBANX has appointed senior executives across Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa and Latin America as it expands its emerging markets payments business.
James Booth has joined the company as Vice President of Commercial for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
He most recently served as Head of Revenue at Verto after spending nearly a decade at PPRO.
José Maurício Orsolini Filho has become Vice President of Product.
He will oversee financial products, payouts and product marketing. He previously held senior roles at Loft, Doctoralia and Didi’s fintech business in Brazil.
The expansion also includes several appointments in Asia Pacific.
Marcela Farima joined EBANX as Director of Merchant Success in Singapore, while Henrique Simião became Director of Product.
Liqian Zhang was promoted to Director of Merchant Success in China.
In Latin America, Juliana Etcheverry took on the newly created role of Director of Issuer Engagement and Growth.
Javier Kaniewicz replaced her as Director of Country Growth for South Latin America, overseeing operations in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.
Camila Alcalde also joined the company as Director of Business Development and Engagement in Brazil.
Wiza Jalakasi has taken on an expanded role as Commercial Lead for Africa and the Middle East.
Based in South Africa, he will focus on merchant growth and partnerships across the region.
EBANX also made several appointments to its global functions.
Anderson Sato became Director of Staff and Growth, while Guillermo Miro was named Director of Commercial Excellence and Revenue Operations.
The company hired Alexandre Amorim Silveira as Director of Operational Excellence, Paulo Machado Simões as Director of Regulatory, Alain Delcourt as Director of Strategic Channel Partnerships and Leandro Magalhães as Director of People Operations.
Rafael Teixeira was promoted to Director of Information Security.
The appointments follow a year in which EBANX recorded a 48% increase in total payment volume.
The company operates across more than 20 emerging markets and has teams in 22 countries.
