Thunes has expanded its cross-border payout network into six more Middle Eastern markets.
The company has introduced services in Bahrain, Lebanon, Oman, South Yemen, Syria and the United Arab Emirates.
Members of Thunes’ Direct Global Network can now process payouts in local currencies to bank accounts, mobile wallets and cash pickup locations, depending on the market.
Businesses can access the services through a direct API integration with Thunes or their existing SWIFT connections.
The rollout adds bank account payouts in Bahrain, Oman and the UAE. In Lebanon, Thunes will support mobile wallet payouts.
Recipients in South Yemen can receive funds through bank accounts or cash pickup locations, while those in Syria can access cash pickup services.
Lebanon receives around US$7 billion in remittances each year, according to Thunes.
The expansion follows the launch of Thunes’ real-time payment services in Saudi Arabia in September 2025.

Chloé Mayenobe, Deputy CEO at Thunes, said,
“Launching new payout capabilities across the Middle East unlocks significant value for our Members and their end-users. These markets are deeply committed to digital innovation and financial inclusion.
Thunes is proud to provide the infrastructure that empowers businesses and individuals to participate seamlessly in international commerce and the broader global economy.”
