Qashier has launched QashierGM, an AI general manager for merchants, in Singapore.
The tool answers owners’ questions on sales, payouts and products using each merchant’s own transactions and settlements, so it can explain line by line why a payout is lower than the day’s sales.
Qashier offers QashierGM at no additional cost to all its merchants in Singapore through QashierHQ, its web and mobile platform for managing sales, payouts, products and staff.
Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines follow in November.
The company holds a Major Payment Institution licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and reported US$1 billion in annualised payment volume when it closed its Series A+ round earlier this year.
What Qashier’s AI general manager does
Qashier ran an open beta from September with merchants ranging from single-outlet cafés and shops to multi-outlet chains. F&B operators were the most active users.
Their most common questions covered sales trends, best sellers and payouts. With the year-end festive season approaching, many beta users are asking QashierGM to suggest festive promotions built around their most popular items.

“Most small business owners can’t afford a general manager, so they become one after closing, going through reports at midnight,”
said Christopher Choo, Co-Founder and CEO of Qashier.
“QashierGM is the manager they never had. It already knows the business, takes on the routine work and never makes a change without asking.”
Owners can ask QashierGM to update a price, mark an item as sold out or add a product. The tool displays a card setting out exactly what will change and where, and nothing goes live until the owner taps confirm.
Multi-outlet operators can compare stores, identify an underperforming outlet and push a change to every store in a single request.
Store managers can see and change only their own store, and owners can set alerts in plain language, such as a warning on unusual refunds.
Crew adds payment links to team chat
Merchants on the Qashier and Enterprise plans get Crew, a work chat kept separate from personal messaging groups.
Owners, managers and kitchen and floor staff can use direct messages, group chats by team or department, and announcements with read receipts.
Any team member can tag @GM in a conversation to check a number, update an item or send a customer an invoice with a payment link.
QashierGM acts only with the permissions of the person who tagged it, sends larger changes to whoever can approve them, and posts an update in the chat when an invoice is paid.
The assistant sees only the conversations it is tagged into. Crew and QashierGM work in the major languages used across the region, including English, Mandarin Chinese, Malay and Thai.
In November, Qashier plans to add connectors to third party apps such as Gmail and Google Business Profile, extending QashierGM to supplier emails, customer enquiries and Google reviews.
