Remote has launched virtual expense cards that let companies manage employee spending alongside payroll.
Remote Expense Cards are available to eligible employees hired through its Employer of Record (EOR) service.
The cards let them pay for work expenses without using their own money or waiting for reimbursement.
Companies can issue virtual cards within one business day in most cases.
They can also set spending limits, restrict purchases and decide who receives a card.
Remote automatically records transactions in its expense management system, where employees can upload receipts through the app.
The cards use existing employment data to help finance teams track spending and apply controls at the point of purchase.

“Remote brings employment, payroll and spending data together into one place.
With Remote Expense Cards, employees around the world can pay for things like travel without using their own money, while teams set controls at the individual level and see every transaction alongside the employment data.”
said Michiel Boere, Chief Financial Officer at Remote.
Remote charges no platform or per-card fees. Customers can continue using its existing reimbursement service for expenses paid out of pocket.
The company offers the cards to eligible EOR customers in supported countries, rather than as a standalone product.
