Asian Blockchain Based Social Media Platform Runs Hackathon in Israel

Blockchain-based social media startup Foresting, have announced that they’ve formed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with Israeli video sharing platform, Viewo. As well as enjoying a shared knowledge pool and more progression, the two companies will be hosting a Foresting Hackathon 2018 together in Tel Aviv this Summer.

Foresting HQ is a blockchain based social media platform. The app is being developed to offer a fairer ecosystem for content creators, by sharing the revenue among its users.

Viewo, based in Tel Aviv, Israel, is developing a blockchain-based social media platform for video content. Their platform is currently used by more than 150 popular content creators worldwide and shows promising growth. Especially considering that it gained over 15,000 telegram followers in around four months.

Foresting and Viewo MOU

Speaking of the newest partnership, Foresting HQ CEO Daniel Eom said:

Foresting Hackathon 2018

Following their MoU, Foresting HQ and Viewo will be holding ‘ Foresting Hackathon 2018. This is a hackathon competition under the theme of blockchain SNS technology.

The Foresting Hackathon 2018 will take place from the 29th to the 30th of July. It’s conveniently being held from Sunday to Monday so participants don’t need to sacrifice their full weekend to join in the fun!

The hackathon marks an exciting future for blockchain relationships between Korean and Israeli companies. Not only is this the first Hackathon event that’s been held between Korea and Israel, but it will hopefully mark the start of some exciting new cross-continental partnerships.

Viewo hope that the Foresting Hackathon 2018 will bring together the best blockchain engineers, developers, and content creators in Israel. Foresting will also bring some of Korea’s top investors who want to learn more about Israel’s Blockchain ecosystem.

During the event, attendees will solve a series of problem-solving tasks together. And of course, try some traditional Israeli and Korean food, too. 24 hours later, each team will present their demos on stage to a panel of high profile Israeli and Korean judges.  It’ll then be decided who’ll be crowned the winner of Foresting Hackathon 2018!
