On the night of August 13, the Vietnam Rice Bowl Startup Awards has revealed winners for 7 categories: Startup of the Year, Best Newcomer, Founder of the Year, Best Disruptor, Startup Journalist of The Year, Best Social Enterprise of The Year and Developer Hero.
All winners from each of the categories will represent Vietnam at the Grand Finale of ASEAN Rice Bowl Startup Awards on September 29 in Manila, Philippines. Winners of the ASEAN Rice Bowl Startup Awards Finals will compete in winter 2016 at the Global Startup Awards finale in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — the annual startup awards active in 25 countries globally.
Rice Bowl Startup Awards (RBSA) is the first annual award to celebrate and recognise the spirit of innovation and achievement in the startup ecosystem of the Southeast Asia. The blooming startup community of Southeast Asia attracts many enterprising business people and with thrilling innovation and ingenuity, the Rice Bowl Startup Awards will be the highlight for entrepreneurs, investors, journalists, developers and all others in tech-startups to celebrate and network. There are 10 countries competing in unique categories: Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Brunei Darussalam, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Philippines and Vietnam.
The juries are well-known experts and entrepreneurs in Vietnam startups community such as Truong Nguyen – Vice President of IDG Ventures Vietnam, Pham Minh Tuan – Founder & CEO of TOPICA Edtech Group, Eddie Thai – Venture Partner of 500 Startups Vietnam, etc.
