Wise Singapore Set to Double Its Headcount This Yearby Fintech News Singapore October 19, 2022
Online money transfer service Wise announced that it will expand its team to employ over 400 staff in Singapore, doubling its headcount since the start of the year.
Wise launched its APAC hub in Singapore in 2016 which now accounts for 10% of its global workforce.
In an effort to bolster its Asia ambitions, Wise said that it will continue to invest across the business and this includes growing its product, infrastructure and team.
Over the last 18 months, Wise has also grown from 2,400 to over 4,000 people globally.
In Singapore, Wise recently rolled out its Linked Bank Account feature which harnesses eGIRO to enable individual customers to complete transfers and payments seamlessly without leaving the app.
Last March, Wise also became one of the first non-bank financial institutions to integrate directly in Singapore’s real-time payments system FAST.
