wagely, an Indonesian earned wage access firm, announced that it has enabled a bill payments feature for its users.
Employees of wagely’s partners can now top-up Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) electricity tokens and mobile phone balances.
They will also be able to pay water utility company (PDAM) and postpaid electricity bills directly from the app.
For these workers, it could also mean being able to pay bills on time without having to borrow or accrue late fees for missing payment deadlines.
wagely said that its data showed that paying for utility bills was among the top three reasons employees are using its app.
“Since we built our platform, we have constantly innovated and added user-centric features, such as disbursement to e-wallet accounts, financial education, and now bill payment.
We are proud to offer a product that their employees can depend on and that has gained a reputation for its quality and reliability.”
said Tobias Fischer, CEO of wagely.
