During the 2023 Singapore Fintech Festival, Visa showcased the progress of seven startups from its Asia Pacific Visa Accelerator Programme 2023. These startups, selected in May 2023, have been working on innovative solutions in digital payments, benefiting from Visa’s global network and expertise over a six-month period.
The cohort includes Dowsure, Doxa Holdings, Kadmos, Pi-xcels, Playbux, Transpure, and Twid. Their work, spanning areas such as global money movement, embedded finance, and open banking solutions, was demonstrated at the 2023 Visa Accelerator Programme Demo Day.
Kunal Chatterjee, Head of Innovation at Visa Asia Pacific, stated that the programme aims to assist startups in growing and expanding their market presence. The Visa Accelerator Programme focuses on creating viable proof of concepts that can be brought directly to clients.
At the Demo Day, the startups presented their progress, showcasing developments in product design, technical integration, and the refinement of their solutions. The next phase involves introducing these solutions to Visa’s network of financial institutions and partners to facilitate further commercial opportunities.
“The achievements of the startups are a testament to Visa’s commitment to fostering fintech and digital payments innovation,”
added Chatterjee.
“Using Visa’s expertise in areas such as digital payments, cross-border financing and loyalty, these startups were able to overcome market challenges from securing stakeholder participation to refining user interfaces and meeting market needs for consumers.”
Previous Visa Accelerator cohorts from 2021 and 2022 have gone on to secure commercial deals with notable regional clients and partners, while Visa itself has agreed partnerships and commercial agreements with six of the startups.
