Tenity, in collaboration with the IOTA Foundation, has announced the establishment of the IOTA Accelerator in Singapore.
This 12-week initiative is designed to assist early-stage startups focused on developing Real World Assets (RWA) tokenisation products and infrastructure within the IOTA ecosystem.
Dominik Schiener, Co-Founder and Chairman of the IOTA Foundation acknowledged the innovation within the Asia-Pacific region and the shared vision with Tenity of harnessing tokenised RWAs for sustainable institutional and user value in Singapore and beyond.
“This partnership aims to equip new market participants with the knowledge to navigate the evolving landscape of digital assets,”
he said.
The accelerator programme, scheduled to run from June to September 2024, will conclude with a Demo Day at the Token2049 event in Singapore, offering startups an opportunity to present their projects.
Participants in the programme will benefit from a US$50,000 (SG$67,390) grant, mentorship from industry experts, product-market fit advice, and networking opportunities with potential investors and industry partners.
Seeking technically proficient founding teams that utilise or intend to utilise IOTA’s technology, the accelerator focuses on innovations in Real World Assets, DeFi, Institutional DeFi Services, and Infrastructure.
Jonas Thürig, Head of APAC at Tenity, expressed enthusiasm for fostering the growth of blockchain innovators.
“Our programme combines digital innovation with practical application, aiming to expand the boundaries of blockchain technology alongside IOTA,”
said Jonas.
The programme will blend virtual and physical engagements, including the notable Demo Day, and is structured to explore and overcome market entry challenges, user demand, and monetisation strategies, concluding with a validation phase for strategic development.
The IOTA Accelerator Programme in Singapore now accepts applications from Web3 builders interested in advancing their projects within the IOTA ecosystem.
