Flourish Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm, has announced the appointment of Ravi Kaushik as its new Executive Director, Head of Asia Investments.
In his new role, Kaushik will oversee the firm’s fintech investments and portfolio management across India and Southeast Asia.
Previously, Kaushik was the CFO of Agro.Club, a global B2B grain marketplace, where he managed financial strategies and operations for the company’s 250 employees across five regions.
Bringing over 15 years of experience in venture capital and private equity, Kaushik has been involved in both operating roles and investment cycles, including a foundational stint at WaterBridge Ventures.
This hiring marks the fourth addition to Flourish Ventures’ global investment team this year. It follows the firm’s recent US$350 million funding boost, which has increased its total capital management to US$850 million.
Flourish is intensifying its focus on fintech opportunities not only in the U.S. but also in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
“Ravi offers critical experience in growing and scaling tech companies that will be invaluable to us as we partner with new investments throughout Southeast Asia and India.
His unique skill set in operations, wide breadth of investment knowledge and passion for helping founders navigate their startup journeys will provide great value for our team and portfolio.”
said Tilman Ehrbeck, Flourish’s Co-Founder and Managing Partner.
“Having spent the last few years scaling Agro.Club and gaining invaluable experience in operating and scaling global tech companies, I am really excited to join the Flourish team and help expand our presence in Southeast Asia and India.
I have seen first-hand the power of technology to drive scale. When you combine that with Flourish’s razor-sharp focus on fintech and the fact that India and Southeast Asia are the fastest growing regions in the world, it presents a multi-decade opportunity to invest in and build with some of the best founders in the region.”
said Ravi.
