Anthropic is building a local team in Singapore as demand for Claude grows.
The company expects to open its office in October, The Straits Times reported.
Singapore records one of the world’s highest rates of Claude use relative to population.
Anthropic’s latest Economic Index ranks the country second among 121 markets, with usage reaching 5.81 times the expected level.

Dale Finlay, Anthropic’s general manager for ASEAN, will oversee the local operation.
The company is recruiting across artificial intelligence (AI), finance, marketing, sales and economic research.
The new office will become Anthropic’s fifth in Asia Pacific, joining its existing locations in Tokyo, Bengaluru, Seoul and Sydney.
Anthropic plans to serve start-ups, digital businesses, large enterprises and public sector organisations from Singapore.
The company cited the country’s talent pool, research capabilities and position as an international business hub as reasons for the expansion.
It also pointed to Singapore’s focus on adopting AI responsibly.
Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC is one of Anthropic’s major investors.
GIC led the AI company’s US$30 billion Series G round in February 2026, which valued it at US$380 billion after the investment.
The expansion adds Anthropic to a growing group of major AI developers with operations in Singapore.
OpenAI and Google DeepMind have also established a presence in the country.
