HedgeSPA offers a core investment platform which is an out-of-the-box solution for automating the multi-asset investment processes for institutions. SPA stands for Sophisticated Predictive Analytics.

HedgeSPA has two product lines:

1. Core investment platform, powered by Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Cloud Computing.
2. Indices, with one example being the HedgeSPA Focused Asia Pacific Ex-Japan Index, which is performing consistently in excess of 10% annualized return on pure alpha with an impressive information ratio of almost 2.

The team built similar analytics for BlackRock, which featured the award-winning work recently on CNBC and the Wall Street Journal. The founder owns the underlying intellectual properties and was awarded close to US$1M in grants by the Singapore Government to rebuild and improve on these analytics. More specifically, our core analytics platform comes with six key features:

1. Combining extreme scenarios: Stress-test portfolio in real time under forward-looking scenarios, and combine them to produce robust portfolio recommendations;
2. Asset selection: Use Artificial Intelligence to sort through volumes of company and economic data identify top-performing assets;
3. Risk and return attribution: Drill down and understand the key drivers of a portfolio’s risk and returns in historical or forward-looking scenarios, giving suggestions on best way to rebalance portfolios;
4. Multi-asset handling: Native multi-asset, multi-frequency support with full ability to incorporate hard-to-value over-the-counter assets;
5. Factor analysis: Customize single and multi-factor representation for each asset to identify factors driving portfolio performance, or build “smart beta” factor biases into portfolio;
6. Workflow automation: Generate client-ready reports with automatic scanning of news/social media sentiments among investments.
