Timo Went Social With Social Invites, TimoMe and Timo MasterCard

3 months after launch, Timo bank application, which is powered by VPBank has acquired over 10,000 new accounts. For the next evolution of Timo, new social features and a new product will be launched this month.

At the award ceremony #TimoFriends, Social Invites was announced officially and are now available in the mobile app to connect social accounts to Timo to make it easier to invite friends. Now you can invite Your Facebook, Zalo, Viber, Whatsapp, Skype or Google+ friends to Timo!

To combine with this feature, Timo has also released TimoMe. TimoMe makes it convenient to send money to other Timo members. Now you can easily send to another Timo member as long as you know either their account number, debit card number, or email they used to registered with Timo! No other vietnamese bank has such an easy way to transfer money to someone else! Just one information users can move money instantly.

0% Foreign Exchange fee

To maximise personal growth, it is important to go out and see the world. Timo MasterCard with EMV chip credit card are Timo’s innovation, and the 0% Foreign Exchange fee is a very unique selling point. While most banks charge from 2-4%, Timo waives this fee so users can travel or buy things overseas without having to worry about the extra fees. Additionally, Timo MasterCard offers the following:
– Free annual fee for first year (must make 3 transactions of over 300,000 VND in the first month of receiving card)
– 45 days interest free period
– Accepted worldwide in MasterCard network (this excludes some businesses that do not accept any Vietnamese credit card)
