Aung Kyaw Moe, the founder and CEO of Southeast Asian payments company 2C2P, has announced he will step down from his role in the first week of April 2025, after leading the company for 22 years.
Piyachart Ratanaprasartporn, CEO of 2C2P Thailand, will also be stepping down.
Founded in Bangkok in 2003, 2C2P later moved its headquarters to Singapore with support from the Singapore government’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).
In April 2022, Ant International, Ant Group’s international business arm, acquired a majority stake in 2C2P, starting to develop integrated products and solutions with its Antom merchant payment and digitisation platform.

Reflecting on his journey, Aung expressed gratitude for the team’s hard work, the support of partners, regulators, and customers, noting that the company’s growth had exceeded his expectations.
Post-departure, Aung plans to focus on research and writing.
As a Doctor of Business Administration candidate at the Sasin School of Management, he is studying the challenges of startup growth in Southeast Asia.
He is also working on his memoir, titled “Red Kite.”
