9Pay has connected directly with Visa through CyberSource, giving foreign payment providers and merchants another route into Vietnam’s card payment market.
The move positions 9Pay as one of the few payment intermediaries in Vietnam with card infrastructure capabilities aligned with international operating standards.
The connection combines Visa’s global network with 9Pay’s domestic processing capabilities, giving international payment gateways, Payment Service Providers and multinational corporations another route into the Vietnamese market.
For foreign PSPs and merchants, 9Pay offers compliant cash flow management solutions, allowing partners to operate without setting up a local legal entity or obtaining a Vietnamese payment intermediary licence.
9Pay also handles foreign exchange coordination, risk management and tax advisory, including foreign contractor tax.
By removing intermediary layers, the infrastructure helps reduce processing latency, improve transaction approval rates and lower cart abandonment.
End-users in Vietnam can make payments in VND without hidden currency conversion fees, while also accessing Apple Pay, Google Pay and Click to Pay.
By connecting directly with Visa and CyberSource, 9Pay has expanded its card processing capabilities and can offer customised solutions for industries with complex technical requirements.

“As digital commerce continues to expand across borders, Visa is committed to working alongside partners in Vietnam to enhance payment acceptance capabilities, security, and transaction experiences in line with global standards.
9Pay’s direct connection with Visa through CyberSource marks an important step forward, helping strengthen Vietnam’s connectivity with the international payments ecosystem. We believe this collaboration will support businesses in reaching customers more effectively, while fostering trust and convenience in digital transactions,”
said Dung Dang, Visa Country Manager for Vietnam and Laos.
Building Vietnam’s Payment Connectivity
9Pay’s system supports modern business models, including e-commerce marketplaces with split-payment mechanisms, large-scale digital advertising payments, recurring subscriptions, and Customer or Merchant Initiated Transactions.
Its operational processes are backed by PCI DSS Level 1 certification, the highest security standard in the global card payment industry.
The company also supports several integration methods, from Payment Links to Redirect, Iframe, API and host-to-host API systems.
9Pay said its infrastructure has supported high-volume data processing and cash flow management for multinational corporations operating in Vietnam, including cross-border money transfer operations.
The company was recently recognized for its all-in-one payment solution at the 2026 Sao Khue Awards, a prominent and highly regarded honor within Vietnam’s technology sector.
9Pay has also secured trademark protection across 11 key markets through the World Intellectual Property Organisation.
The company said its direct connection with Visa will help optimise costs and support global partners looking to expand in Vietnam’s digital economy.
