Barclays is building out its Singapore wealth business with a new booking centre for ultra-high-net-worth clients and family offices.
The centre provides local booking capabilities in Singapore while giving clients access to Barclays’ banking, lending, investment and wealth planning services.
It will also connect with Barclays’ international booking centres and draw on capabilities across its Private Bank and Corporate and Investment Banks.
Barclays expects Asia Pacific to become the world’s largest wealth market by 2030, with an estimated US$5.8 trillion set to transfer between generations across the region over the same period.

Sasha Wiggins, CEO, Barclays Private Bank and Wealth Management, said,
“The launch of our Singapore booking centre marks an important milestone in delivering our growth strategy, it enables us to bring the full breadth of Barclays’ expertise to our clients, and reflects our investment in key international wealth markets.
As wealth becomes increasingly global, clients are looking for partners who can support them seamlessly across generations and jurisdictions.”

Annabelle Bryde, Head of Barclays Private Bank International, said,
“The new platform makes it easier for clients to access the full breadth of Barclays’ capabilities through one integrated team.
Whether clients require lending, investment advice or support with complex family wealth and succession planning, we can connect them to the right expertise across the bank.”
