Moomoo has launched real-time account deposits through Apple Pay and Google Pay for eligible users in the US.
Built with Visa and Checkout.com, the feature lets users fund their accounts 24 hours a day, seven days a week, rather than relying on bank transfers tied to business hours.
According to Moomoo, users can put the deposited funds towards stocks, ETFs, options, cryptocurrencies and event contracts, which let users trade on the outcome of real-world events. Access to funds remains subject to funding availability, the company said.
How Moomoo’s wallet deposits work
Users select Apple Pay or Google Pay as their deposit method in the Moomoo app and pay with an eligible debit card stored in their digital wallet.
Visa’s payments network and Checkout.com’s payment infrastructure process the transaction.
Moomoo said the setup reduces the number of steps needed to fund an account. It is also designed to credit deposits in real time, giving users faster access to funds when they want to invest.
According to Moomoo’s US support pages, the option is available to US residents with a valid Social Security Number who use US-issued debit cards.
Deposits are free, with a combined limit of US$10,000 per day and US$50,000 per month across both wallets.
Most deposits arrive instantly, according to the company, although bank reviews can occasionally delay them by several hours.

“Investors expect the same speed and execution in their investing experience that they access through other market-leading digital products,”
said Neil McDonald, CEO, Moomoo US.
“Expanding our funding capabilities through Visa and Checkout.com makes it easier for users to quickly move money into their Moomoo accounts when they are ready to invest.”
Jakub Petri, VP Business Development and Partnerships at Visa, said digital trading platforms have changed how consumers move money in and out of their accounts.

“We’re extending that real-time experience to account funding, giving investors on the Moomoo platform a secure and convenient way to fund their accounts through Apple Pay and Google Pay, powered by Visa’s global network,”
he added.
Part of a wider push into round-the-clock investing
Moomoo currently supports 24/5 trading of eligible US stocks and ETFs.
Recent additions to the platform include Web3 wallet integration, agentic investing through Moomoo API Skills, and prediction markets through a partnership with Kalshi.
The announcement does not mention plans to bring wallet deposits to other markets, including Singapore.
Locally, Moomoo Financial Singapore, a subsidiary of Nasdaq-listed Futu Holdings, holds a capital markets services licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
The Singapore business has previously widened its funding options, partnering with Wise in 2023 to offer users lower-cost transfers into their trading accounts.
