Backbase has launched Delivery Factory, an AI-powered software development platform that enables banking delivery teams to work alongside specialised AI agents.
Teams using the platform across more than 10 Backbase implementations over the past 12 months delivered projects twice as fast as traditional teams and 30% faster than those using generic AI coding assistants.
Backbase also reported an 80% reduction in effort spent on requirements and specifications, 40% less coding and review effort, and a 60% increase in test and automation coverage.
Unlike general-purpose coding assistants, Delivery Factory combines project requirements, architecture specifications, meeting notes and Backbase product knowledge into a shared context.
This allows development teams and AI agents to work from the same information throughout design, planning, implementation and review, reducing the need to repeat requirements at each stage.
The platform includes a Business Analyst Agent that generates specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria for Jira work items.
A Solution Architect Agent supports technical design decisions, while separate Backend, Mobile and Web Agents prepare implementation plans based on project requirements and the bank’s Backbase version.
Engineers retain oversight of code changes and verification results, while delivery leads coordinate project scope and planning.

“Delivery Factory gives them and their AI agents a shared foundation: what the bank has agreed on, how its project is designed and how Backbase works,”
said Greg Fahy, CTO Digital Banking at Backbase.
The company has also introduced two additional AI agents to support platform migration and upgrades.
The Backbase Migration Agent helps banks move existing customer journeys, integrations and business logic to its Banking OS platform without rebuilding them from scratch.
Meanwhile, the Backbase Upgrade Agent helps existing customers apply platform changes and identify areas requiring attention, making upgrades part of ongoing development rather than separate projects.
