B2B robo-advisor provider Quantifeed announced the launch of its Singapore office and appointment of three new key executives who will be based there.
The new appointments follow on the heels of Quantifeed’s recent completion of a Series B funding round for US$10 million, supported by investments from Cathay Financial Holdings and Legg Mason Inc.
With over 30 years’ experience in the investment banking industry, Eric Lee now joins Quantifeed as Program Management Lead and Country Head of Singapore, reporting directly to Ross Milward, Quantifeed’s Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder.
Ross Milward commented:
“We are excited to welcome Eric to the Quantifeed team. He brings a unique blend of strategic, technical and business experience to Quantifeed’s executive team. His guidance will be instrumental as we leverage our quantitative and technology capabilities to enhance the wealth management platforms of financial institutions in the region.”
Prior to joining Quantifeed, Eric held several engineering leadership posts with Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Singapore and Hong Kong offices. In particular, he brings with him key expertise in developing technology strategies and operations for equities and fixed income.
Eric, too, expressed his excitement about the opportunities his new role would create for him:
“I am delighted to join Quantifeed as it continues to build out its technology offering and to strengthen its relationship with strategic partners. Following thirty years of experience in Asia-Pacific, I am particularly excited about the opportunity to help our clients scale their wealth management businesses.”
Also coming onboard are Shadab Taiyabi, Senior Executive for Strategic Partnerships, and Keith Tan, Senior Systems Engineer, respectively.
Shadab has over 13 years of experience in the financial services industry on sales and business development across Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
Prior to joining Quantifeed, Shadab was the Head of Business Development for eWise, a global account aggregation technology provider. He also previously worked with Thomson Reuters, SIX Financial Information and Bloomberg.
Keith, meanwhile, brings with him 11 years’ experience as a professional services consultant implementing and supporting systems in the financial industry.
His experience includes implementing solutions in core banking, customer relationship management, capital markets as well as anti-money laundering domains.
