Xiaomi-backed online brokerage Tiger Brokers Singapore named Ian Leong as its new CEO, effective 28 September 2023. He succeeds Eng Thiam Choon who stepped down in June this year.
He has 13 years of experience in the financial industry and was previously the Co-CEO and Chief Marketing Officer at Finsmart Solutions.
Prior to that, Leong was also the CEO of uSMART Singapore following a stint at Tiger Brokers as its Business Development Director for Retail until for close to a year until September 2021.
Tiger Brokers said that Leong’s appointment would help grow its presence in Singapore and throughout Southeast Asia.
