Local financial firm Singlife has partnered with social enterprise SG Assist to provide the first 200 caregivers who enroll in the latter’s new CaregiverCircle membership a free year of group term life insurance.
The launch was marked on 15th October (Sunday) during the Caregiver Appreciation Day event.
This insurance offers a S$100,000 payout if the caregiver faces death, terminal illness, or total and permanent disability.
Additionally, Singlife is giving all SG Assist’s CaregiverCircle members an exclusive 15% off first-year premiums on Singlife CareShield Standard and CareShield Plus plans until the end of 2023.
These plans have recently been enhanced with added benefits to aid customers from the early stages of mild disability.
As an extra perk, caregivers attending the recent event received a free basic health screening voucher to promote self-care.
Earlier in 2023, Singlife and SG Assist committed to jointly enhance caregivers’ quality of life.
Richard Vargo, Group Head of Products, Propositions and Transformation, Singlife said,
“Singlife is happy to have the opportunity to collaborate with SG Assist to provide meaningful financial protection to CaregiverCircle members.
We hope that with this insurance coverage, they will have greater peace of mind to focus on better care for their loved ones and their own well-being.”
Adrian Tan, Co-Founder of SG Assist and caregiver, said:
“The SG Assist CaregiverCircle membership presents an opportunity for us to provide enhanced support for caregivers, improve their wellbeing, and foster a thriving community of caregivers in Singapore.
I believe that Singlife’s offerings will provide CaregiverCircle members much needed financial protection and peace of mind in their caregiving journey.”
