Dr. David R. Hardoon is a data scientist, AI strategist, and former Chief Data Officer of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), where he served as the regulator’s first appointed CDO and Head of the Data Analytics Group, and later as Special Advisor on Artificial Intelligence. In those roles, he led the development of Singapore’s national AI strategy for the financial sector, pioneered the adoption of data science at a central bank and regulator, and introduced the world’s first governance framework for responsible AI use in finance through the FEAT (Fairness, Ethics, Accountability and Transparency) principles, along with the MAS-backed Veritas consortium. He writes and advises on the intersection of AI, risk, resilience, and responsible innovation in financial services.

When Anthropic announced Claude Mythos Preview on 7 April 2026, it did something unprecedented.
