Visa and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have partnered to support agentic commerce, where AI agents can manage tasks and complete transactions.
Visa will list its Visa Intelligence Commerce platform on AWS Marketplace, giving developers access to authentication, agentic tokenisation, data personalisation and user intent tools.
The companies will also publish public blueprints in the Amazon Bedrock AgentCore repository.
The blueprints are designed for multi-network agentic workflows and help developers build and connect processes for retail shopping, travel booking and payment reconciliation.
They use Bedrock AgentCore components for identity, runtime, gateway, memory and observability, and integrate with the Visa Intelligence Commerce MCP Server and APIs to enable secure, tokenised and contextual payments.
Additional support for multi-network commerce flows is coming soon.
Visa said the collaboration aims to advance agentic workloads on AWS, supported by its MCP tools for end-to-end payment workflows. The blueprints are reusable across industries.
A travel booking agent combines modules for flights, lodging, car rentals and activities with a payment flow tied to Visa’s MCP server.
A retail blueprint covers product discovery, price comparison, shipping, discounts, loyalty, checkout, order tracking and returns.
A B2B payment agent is planned to automate supplier payments and reconciliation across ERP, CRM, accounting and banking systems.
Visa said the platform allows AI agents to transact securely and autonomously, such as purchasing tickets automatically when prices fall below a user’s threshold.
Developers can combine and reconfigure components to build new applications.
The blueprints are being developed with input from Expedia Group, Intuit, lastminute.com and Eurostars Hotel Company.

Rubail Birwadker, SVP, Global Head of Growth, Visa, said,
“Agentic commerce needs trust to move from intent to action; Visa Intelligent Commerce is designed to be the trust layer for the agent economy and together with Visa Acceptance can provide the infrastructure for secure, network-agnostic transactions.
With AWS’s scalable cloud capabilities and Visa’s global payment network, Visa Intelligent Commerce enables AI agents to transact securely and contextually at scale—helping to unlock faster innovation for developers and better experiences for consumers and businesses worldwide.”

David Richardson, VP of AgentCore, AWS, said,
“Today, commerce is fragmented across multiple systems and intermediaries. Visa Intelligent Commerce and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore simplify this by allowing agents to communicate securely and autonomously, with standardised integration via Amazon Bedrock AgentCore blueprints, and embedded payments via Visa MCP Server or APIs.
Through Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and Visa’s secure agentic commerce APIs and MCP server in the AWS Marketplace, we are going to make it super simple for AWS customers to build and deploy agents and agent tools.”
