Anthropic has expanded Claude with tools built for financial advisers.
Claude for Financial Advisors connects with the custodians, portfolio platforms, customer relationship management systems and planning software used by advisers.
It brings client information from these systems into one place to support meeting preparation, portfolio reviews and follow-up work.
Connects With Wealth Management Platforms
The service connects with Addepar, BlackRock, Charles Schwab, Envestnet, iCapital, Orion, SS&C Black Diamond, Vanguard, Wealthbox, Wealth.com and Zocks.
Depending on the platform, Claude can access client balances, holdings, transactions, portfolio performance, financial plans, alternative investments, estate documents and meeting records.
It also works with existing Claude connections for Microsoft 365, Salesforce, DocuSign, Box, FactSet, S&P Global and Morningstar.
The Claude for Financial Advisors plugin combines these connections with workflows covering client onboarding, meeting preparation, portfolio reviews and post-meeting tasks.
Before a meeting, Claude can compile a client’s holdings, recent account activity and outstanding items from earlier discussions.
It can also flag portfolio drift and concentrated positions before drafting an explanation for the adviser to review.
Other tools can compare estate plans with account ownership and beneficiary details. Claude can also turn meeting transcripts into client summaries, draft emails and CRM tasks.
Adviser Approval Remains Required
The compliance tool can flag client-facing material that may need further review based on criteria set by the firm.
It also helps firms document compliance reviews and internal AI policies.
Advisers must approve critical tasks. Investment recommendations, client communications and compliance decisions remain subject to human review.
Anthropic cited Kitces research showing that a typical advisory practice spends about one-sixth of its time in client meetings.
The tools are intended to reduce the preparation and paperwork surrounding those meetings.
