Qashier’s New Sound Box Emits Instant Audio Alerts for Secure QR Payments

by January 10, 2024

Singapore-based fintech startup Qashier has launched the QashierPay Soundbox, a new QR payment terminal designed to enhance digital payment security.

This device features real-time auditory alerts, notifying merchants immediately upon successful transactions and is aimed at businesses with fast-paced and high-volume transactions, like hawkers and mini-marts.

The terminal’s ease of integration means businesses can adopt it without overhauling existing payment systems.

It supports a wide range of e-wallet QR payments, including popular PayNow-enabled apps such as Google Pay, GrabPay, DBS Paylah, and Singtel Dash.

The device also ensures a smoother checkout experience for customers with a single PayNow QR code. Additionally, it provides merchants with real-time transaction histories through its cloud-based portal, QashierHQ, aiding in efficient sales reporting.

The QashierPay Soundbox also offers next-day payouts, enhancing cash flow for businesses. The device is portable with a compact and sleek design and is enabled by WiFi and SIM connectivity for offsite usage.

In a move to promote digital payment solutions among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Qashier is offering the first 1,000 QashierPay Soundboxes for free to businesses registering from 10 January to 29 February 2024.

These businesses will also benefit from a waiver of transaction fees until the end of March 2024 and an additional S$100 cashback after reaching S$10,000 in transactions. This initiative is part of Qashier’s ongoing SME Support Package.

In addition, every QashierPay Soundbox comes ready with a free SIM card as well as data usage for the device.

The QashierPay Soundbox is currently available in Singapore, with plans to expand to Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand.

Since its launch in 2022, QashierPay has been adopted by over 2,000 merchant stores in Singapore, handling more than 200,000 transactions daily.
