PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk has introduced “Dira by GoTo AI,” an AI-enabled fintech voice assistant in Bahasa Indonesia.
This launch is part of a long-term Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovation programme aimed at integrating advanced AI technology throughout GoTo‘s ecosystem.
Initially available to a limited number of users on the GoPay app, Dira will be gradually rolled out and eventually become available on the Gojek app.
Dira, short for Dikte Suara (voice dictation), is designed to enhance user experience by allowing users to navigate the GoPay app and perform tasks using voice commands in Bahasa Indonesia.
For instance, accessing the “insurance bills” page for social health insurance (BPJS) payments, which typically requires multiple steps, can now be done with a single voice command.
Dira’s introduction aims to make AI benefits more accessible. The lightweight integration ensures it can be used on all types of mobile phones, including those with limited capacity, at no additional cost.
Users can activate Dira by tapping the microphone icon on the GoPay app’s main page and issuing voice commands for tasks such as electricity bill payments, money transfers, phone credit purchases, and PIN changes.
For security, transactions via Dira still require PIN and biometric verifications like fingerprint or facial recognition. Without these verifications, transactions cannot be completed.
