Trust Bank customers can now ask an AI assistant to find card transactions and summarise their spending.
Trust AI Ask handles questions such as how much users spent on groceries last month or what they paid for transport.
The tool can identify merchants, categories, dates and amounts within a query. It also calculates totals, transaction counts and spending summaries.

The first phase focuses on card spending. Users can locate transactions, verify payments and review their expenses without scrolling through payment histories or applying filters.
Trust Bank said customers’ transaction information is only used to answer their questions.
The tool includes safeguards that filter sensitive data and protect personal information.
The bank expects the service to reduce routine transaction-related enquiries.
Trust previously introduced a generative AI-powered chatbot for everyday banking enquiries.
According to the bank, it has helped reduce customer service query volumes by half.

Naveen Sethia, Chief Customer Officer of Trust Bank, said,
“For too long, banking apps have expected customers to adapt to how the bank organises information. We believe it should be the other way around. With Trust AI Ask, customers can simply ask a question about the way they naturally think and speak and get the answer they need in seconds.
Over time, we see significant opportunities to expand this across more areas of banking, helping customers better understand their finances, uncover insights and interact with the bank in a more delightful and personalised way.”
