Akbar Hussain graduated from McGill University's Faculty of Law, before starting his career as an Associate at Baker & McKenzie in 2006. He then became Counsel at Alsevier, before moving on to becoming VP- Deputy General Counsel at Baharti Airtel International, where he worked for 9 years. He co-founded TerraPay together with Ambar Sur, Ram Sundaram and Aniruddha Sane in 2015.
