Gaming lifestyle brand Razer has partnered with ESG fintech firm STACS to launch Restorify, an e-commerce service with traceable carbon neutral checkout.
The partnership empowers Razer customers globally to practice responsible consumerism by allowing them to engage in individual carbon offsets when purchasing Razer products.
These individual offsets transactions would be digitally recorded onto STACS’ ESGpedia registry, thereby enhancing the traceability and transparency of the entire carbon credit value chain.
Razer says that it will offer partner merchants the Restorify service in future phases, as well as work with STACS on decarbonisation throughout their supply chain.
STACS’ ESGpedia registry also powers the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s Greenprint ESG Registry, one of the four digital utility platforms housed under Project Greenprint.
Restorify is led by Razer Fintech, the company’s financial technology arm, whose previous initiatives include launching a Visa prepaid card and offering insurance coverage to its users.
“In our own journey to net zero, we have realised that there are growing pains and that not all carbon credits are equal. With Restorify, we hope our novel approach towards carbon credits will foster greater accountability and transparency within carbon offsetting,”
said Min-Liang Tan, Co-founder and CEO of Razer.
“STACS aims to enable corporates of all sizes to navigate the opportunities in going green via holistic ESG data and technology. We are honoured to be partnering Razer in its journey towards spearheading sustainability amongst consumers via enhancing transparency in its carbon credits processes,”
said Benjamin Soh, Managing Director of STACS.
