Responsibilities

Working In Direct Collaboration With Our Account Management Colleagues That Manage/own Customer Relationships, The B2B Regional & Global Product Teams, Data & Services And Other Cross Functional Teams, The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible To

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for disbursements and remittances, including market analysis, competitive positioning, and target customer segments.
  • Identify new market opportunities, potential partnerships, and innovative solutions to enhance the organization's disbursement and remittance offerings.
  • Conduct thorough research on industry trends, customer needs, and regulatory requirements to drive informed business decisions.
  • Grow, maintain, convert, and track a healthy pipeline of Large Market/B2B opportunities across all issuers/fintechs, including new players in this space.
  • Identify, negotiate, and establish strategic partnerships with financial institutions, payment processors, technology providers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop joint value propositions, go-to-market strategies, and revenue-sharing models.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing partners, monitoring performance, and identifying opportunities for collaboration or expansion.
  • Identify and target potential clients, including corporates, government agencies, financial institutions, and other relevant entities.
  • Lead the client acquisition process, including prospecting, pitching, contract negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Nurture and maintain relationships with key clients, ensuring customer satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences related to disbursements and remittances.
  • Conduct market research, gather customer feedback, and analyze data to identify new product/service offerings, pricing strategies, or market entry opportunities.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on business development activities, market insights, and progress against goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as product development, operations, finance, and legal, to ensure the successful implementation and delivery of new business initiatives.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective marketing campaigns, collateral, and promotional materials to support business development efforts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven 5 years’ experience in business development, preferably in the disbursements and remittances industry or related financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of payment systems, disbursement methods, remittance channels, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying, developing, and closing business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to analyze market trends, identify gaps, and propose innovative solutions.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners, clients, and industry stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools, data analysis software, and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
