Jean-Pierre Brulard Steps in as Temenos CEO Following Hindenburg Allegations

by April 24, 2024

Banking software company Temenos announced that Jean-Pierre Brulard will become its new CEO starting 1 May 2024. He will be based in Switzerland.

The appointment follows the retirement of Andreas Andreades, who has served Temenos in various capacities over the past 25 years, most recently as CEO.

Brulard comes to Temenos with a robust background in sales and commercial leadership across the technology sector.

He recently concluded a fourteen-year tenure at VMware, a major cloud computing and virtualisation software company, where he served as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales.

His efforts at VMware were pivotal in steering the company’s business model transition to subscription and SaaS, particularly within the financial services sector.

Before his time at VMware, Brulard held roles at other leading technology firms, including Business Objects and Sun Microsystems, and has been involved with board-level leadership, notably at TalentSoft in France.

Details regarding Brulard’s compensation will reportedly be made public in the near future.

Just last week, Temenos said that it had completed an independent review and debunked the allegations made by Hindenburg Research, calling them “incorrect, misleading, and often presented out of context”.

During the announcement of the first quarter 2024 results, Temenos shared that it “faced a challenging sales environment, with some clients delaying decisions whilst the independent investigation was ongoing”.

Following the independent review, Temenos shared that it has received positive feedback from its clients and that its pipeline continued to grow in the quarter.
