The Singapore Fintech Festival 2023 (SFF) concluded its eighth edition on 17 November, achieving a record-breaking attendance of 66,000 participants, surpassing the previous year’s count of 62,000.

Demonstrating its global appeal, the event welcomed representatives from 150 countries and regions, an increase from 115 in 2022, and featured over 970 speakers.

This year’s SFF was marked by several significant activities. The Regulation Zone attracted over 2,400 individuals from 530 central banks, regulatory bodies, and government organizations.

The Technology Zone hosted 56 sessions, highlighting advancements in Artificial Intelligence and quantum technologies, and their practical applications in e-commerce and payments.

A new addition, the Founders Zone, provided a platform for over 200 investors to connect with approximately 270 startup founders through Investor Office Hours.

In the Talent Zone, more than 240 mentorship sessions were conducted, enhanced by partnerships with four higher education institutions for certification programs.

The ESG Zone was noteworthy for the launch of the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s (MAS) Gprnt digital platform, part of Project Greenprint, which aims to establish a standard for ESG reporting among businesses.

A special feature of the festival, Elevandi Insights, held on 14 November, drew 1,500 participants and facilitated 28 roundtables focused on the future of technology in financial services. The outcomes of these discussions are slated for publication in the first quarter of 2024.

Preparations are already underway for SFF 2024, scheduled for 6-8 November, with the preliminary Elevandi Insights event planned for 4-5 November.
